Joe Xiongwei Zhu
- Founder of Boston Angel Club. Invests in early-stage high-tech startups in the US, incubates them in the US, and connects them with the Chinese market.
- Managing Director and Partner of Eastern Link Capital.
- 24 years of multinational, multicultural work experience. Gained project management and quality control skills working and studying in Japan; gained entrepreneurial experience in China; engaged in high-tech and corporate management in the US.
- In the US, held positions at high-tech companies including Silicon Graphics (SGI), Kasenna, and Delta Search Labs, advancing from senior engineer to technical lead and company manager. Directly led teams responsible for hardware and software development and business expansion, including founding the VR-Pain subsidiary.
- In China, was a co-founder and Deputy General Manager of Tianjin Gaomu Indoor Products Company, managing day-to-day operations. In Japan, gained project management and quality control skills through two years at Yokogawa Electric.
- MIT Sloan Fellow and MBA, MS in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and BS in Precision Instrument Engineering from Tianjin University.
