Starting in 2016, China's capital markets entered a winter while the North American capital markets continued to flourish, especially in the traditional financial asset management industry, which is undergoing a major transformation as new technologies continue to drive the industry forward. Bio:
Mr. Yudong Hou is Founding Partner/CEO of Eastern Link Capital. He previously served as General Manager of the Asset Management Department and Deputy General Manager of the Investment Banking Headquarters at GF Securities; as a senior executive of a securities firm certified by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (2003–2007), he served as Director and Senior Deputy General Manager of GF North Securities (formerly Jinzhou Securities, directly under the People's Bank of China). As a holder of the Series 7 securities license, he previously worked at Waddell & Reed Financial, one of the four earliest US mutual fund management companies, and at Edward Jones, the fifth largest full-service securities firm in the US. He was also responsible for finance at IDGVC (now IDG Capital) and IDG China. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MS in Finance from Suffolk University in Boston, and a BS in Accounting from North China University of Technology.
