Pan Fuxiang — Speaker Background

Mr. Pan Fuxiang is a renowned financial investment expert with over 20 years of experience in securities. He holds a B.S. in Engineering and an M.S. in Technology Economics from Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management, and a Ph.D. in Finance from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He previously served as General Manager of Tsinghua Xingye Investment Management Co., Ltd., Deputy GM of Anhui International Trust & Investment Company's Shanghai Securities Headquarters, independent director of multiple listed companies, and contributing commentator for CCTV's China Securities. He is currently Chairman of Nord Asset Management Co., Ltd.

Mr. Pan entered Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management in 1983, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees. During his studies, he served as President of the Tsinghua Student Union and Vice Chair of the Beijing Federation of Student Unions.

He began teaching at Tsinghua's School of Economics and Management in 1990, served as Assistant to the Dean, and is currently a visiting professor teaching MBA-level Securities Investment. In 1992 he established China's first "Mock Stock Exchange," pioneering capital-markets education in China.

From 1992 onward he conducted research and practical work in Shanghai's securities markets, serving as Director of Shanghai Taide Financial Research Center and Deputy GM of Anhui International Trust's Shanghai Securities HQ. He led numerous M&A and asset-restructuring cases, served as investment advisor to multiple listed companies, and from 1999 served as GM of Tsinghua Xingye Investment Management. On July 29, 1999, he led the first standardized venture capital case in China involving a domestic intermediary and listed company — "VisionMore Multimedia Big-Screen Projection TV" — establishing a model for venture capital with Chinese characteristics.

With forward-looking vision and extensive hands-on experience, Mr. Pan has championed the integration of theoretical advances with practical operations in China's capital markets — including the 1995 "Seeking Wisdom in the Securities Market" discussion with Shanghai Securities News, the high-tech / venture capital practices starting in 1998, the 2001 cross-media securities program "New Dynamics Observer" advocating the "value investing philosophy," and the 2003 large-cap blue-chip stock revolution. Mr. Pan joined Nord Asset Management in 2006, serving successively as Deputy GM, GM, and now Chairman.
